It's Fall, Y'all!

Growing up in Connecticut, I was totally used to seeing four seasons every year. (I was also totally unused to saying y’all, but that’s a story for another day!)

I left Connecticut when I was 18 and since then have lived in Rhode Island (four seasons), New Jersey (four seasons), Kansas (four seasons), Ohio (four seasons), Florida (two seasons; hot and not quite as hot), New York (four seasons), New Jersey again (four seasons), Florida again, Ohio again (four seasons), then to Richmond VA (four seasons, but all of them fairly mild), and finally to Northern Virginia, outside Washington, DC. We have four seasons here, and I really like that. Just about the time I am getting tired of being cold, it becomes Spring! And just about the time I’m getting tired of being hot, it’s fall!

I think one of the things I love about Spring and Fall is how pretty everything becomes. In Spring, all the trees and flowers are in bloom (achoo!) and in the Fall, everything turns beautiful colors. My husband and I love to go for drives in the country and when we go in the Fall, I usually end up taking pictures. Here are some of my favorites from over the years (Please note: early pictures were taken with crummy camera and are old so color is not as great as it should be. But I still like them!)

So, go enjoy Fall, y’all! Get outside in the nice, crisp air and take some pictures. If you don’t get pretty colors where you live, take pictures anyway. I know I will!
