One of my favorite computer programs

You all know that I’m really into photos. Like, REALLY into photos. I’m always talking with people about taking care of their photos and saving the memories that go along with them. There are two programs that I use to do this, Historian and Artisan. Historian is the one that helps me organize and “fix” my photos. I can fix red eye, crop that light pole out of your head and fix the color balance so that it looks right. I’ll tell you more about Historian in another blog post, but for today I’d like to talk about Artisan (this program was designed by Panstoria and was formerly known as StoryBook Creator to Creative Memories folks).

Artisan is a great program for making digital scrapbooks (we call them Storybooks) and I use it for that a lot. Here are some examples:

But Storybooks are not the only thing I make with Artisan. I’ve made flyers, invitations, cards, posters; so many things! Here are some examples of non-Storybook page projects I’ve done:

This was a little framed gift I made for a baby girl who was moving away – we didn’t want her to forget us!

I did some fun things using the “Six Word Story” method – this is one of my favorites

This is a recipe card that I made to give to newlyweds – I think it’s a great recipe!

This is a poster one of my friends made to celebrate her father’s life. Isn’t it beautiful?

I gave this poster to my son-in-law for Christmas a few years ago – he’s a wonderful photographer and I thought he would enjoy this reminder of photos he’s taken. It hangs in their kitchen!
