What to do with all those holiday cards?

We all get a mailbox full of them and I always hated to throw them away. Finally, I came up with the idea of making a Holiday card album! At first, each year just had a single page, but as more and more people send photo cards and as the cards get bigger (darn you, 5×7 photo cards – it’s too hard to fit all of you on my pages!) I do as many pages for each year as I need to. I tie them together with a color scheme and put the year on every page.

This is a fun, quick project (but I try to wait until February to do it, so I can catch the stragglers and the “Happy New Year” card people, too. ) It’s really easy to keep it up to date and current and it’s fun to look through. I use it as one of my holiday decorations and it sits on our coffee table during the season. It’s fun to see how the kids have grown (and had kids of their own; yikes!) and to see the same people year after year.
